The pandemic is not over, but it is different now than it was in 2020. Some authors have written narratives reflecting on what the experience was like for them and their communities in the early months of this ever-evolving experience. We will read one memoir and one novel to help us remember and reflect on what it was like for us and for the world to experience a wildly contagious disease that translated, in some cases, to serious illness, loss of life, social isolation, a highly stressed health care system, and general unrest.
