Zelter String Quartet

Founded in 2018, the Los Angeles-based Zelter String Quartet comprises current or past students of the USC Thornton School of Music. The quartet has studied with renowned artists including Joseph Lin, Alasdair Tait, Lina Bahn, Glenn Dicterow, Karen Dreyfus, Ralph Kirshbaum, as well as members of the St. Lawrence and Danish String Quartets. In 2019, the Zelter String Quartet participated in the St. Lawrence String Quartet Chamber Music Seminar at Stanford University. In August 2020, the quartet will be participating — with an all-expense paid trip to France — in the Rencontres Franco-Américaines de Musique de Chambre, as winners of the Ofiesh Chamber Music Competition held at the USC Thornton School of Music.
