Attention readers! In the tradition begun this summer, April Herron and Kathy Christie have identified another novel that reflects on the spiritual resources available to human beings in the everyday and crisis moments of their lives. In a time and place where Ojibwe and Christian religious practices live side by side, the characters in “LaRose” are trying to find their way through grief, guilt, and terrible loss. A discussion of the book will take place on Wednesday, November 16, in the choir room. It’s not too soon to start reading; the book should be available from your favorite book store!
