Bernstein & Gershwin at the Hollywood Bowl! On Thursday, July 10th, at 8:00 p.m. the wry and witty Bramwell Tovey brings 20th-century favorites from Bernstein and Gershwin, acting as both conductor and pianist for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Broadway star Megan Hilty (Smash, Wicked) sings favorite Gershwin tunes. Tickets are $23 each and bus service from Wilson Park for additional $6. On Saturday, August 23rd, at 8:00 p.m., Hollywood Bowl will commemorate Beatles 50th at the Bowl. Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) will be the musical director, joined by special guests. As well as singing many Beatles classics, the performers will recreate historic sets, including “Twist and Shout,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “A Hard Day’s Night” plus vintage clips and much more in celebration of the Fab Four’s L.A.
