Sharing the Love:
Harbor Interfaith Food Drive

The Missions Committee would like to extend our love to neighbors in need. We are collecting non-perishable food items for the Harbor Interfaith Food Pantry in San Pedro. During this pandemic, there is an even greater need for food due to many people being unable to work. Our food drive will continue through March 6th and we have a goal of collecting 100 bags of food!
Harbor Interfaith has requested non-perishable items to make a “food kit” that feeds of family of 3-4. If possible, they prefer canned goods with pop-top lids. The following items make up a food kit:
- 4 Cans of Beans (chili, baked, or vegetarian)
- 4 Cans of Vegetables
- 2 Boxes of Macaroni & Cheese
- 1 Jar of Jelly
- 1 Jar of Peanut Butter
- 1 Container of Quick Oats
- 2 Cans of Fruit
- 2 Cans of Tomato Sauce
- 2 Cans of Soup
- 2 Cans of Tuna (or tuna lunch kits)
- 2 Bags of Pasta Noodles
- 2 Bags of Dried Beans or Lentils
- 2 Cans of Ravioli
- 1 Bag of Rice
How Can You Help?
During the communion pick-up time on March 6th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, the Missions Committee will have a drive-thru drop off area in the parking lot near the choir room. You won’t even have to get out of your car! There will also be a box outside the church office where you can drop food off during the week. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, it is estimated that a 3-day food kit for a family of 4 would cost around $45. You can send your check to the church office with “food drive” in the memo line or donate online at rhumc.org with “food drive” in the comments section. If you have any questions, you can call Chris Campbell at (310) 373-4710. Thank you all for always being a loving and generous congregation!
