Losing a spouse or a loved one is a major life event that touches every part of our lives. The loss can be especially difficult during the holiday season. In the past, Christmas may have been a time of anticipation and excitement, but this year, the thought of facing the holidays without your loved one may cause sadness and anxiety. To help, we are offering a grief workshop for those who are experiencing this journey. The seminar will include recognizing different stages of grief, learning coping skills, and managing expectations, emotions and stress during the holidays.
Dr. Susan Brown, who specializes in grief therapy, will return to our church for this one-day seminar. To register or for more information, contact Rachel Stam at 310-377-6771, ext. 105 or email rachel@rhumc.org. There is no charge for the group, but pre-registration is strongly suggested.
