Twenty-one members of our RHUMC Chancel Choir will comprise a portion of a 200-voice chorus that will sing under the direction of John Rutter in the world premiere of his new composition Creation Canticles at Carnegie Hall on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th. The program presents a contrast of sorts – it will be the 26th Annual performance by Mr. Rutter at Carnegie Hall, and he has announced that this will be his last. While a few of our choir members have performed at Carnegie Hall in the past under the auspices of other ensembles, this performance will be the first by our choir, and we anticipate that other performances at Carnegie will be planned for the future. We look forward to sharing great stories and pictures upon our return. Attending from our Chancel Choir are Ed Arnn, Barbara Bell, Donovan Black, Ellen Brim, Joe Ceske, Susan Deo, Chuck Dickerson, Judy Dossen, Karin Frasier, Steve Freije, Kelly Graves, Tim Hasselman, Jan Johnson, Steve Johnson, Ginber Kan, Hazel Lord, Sue Mahaffey, Alice Mansfield, Nancy Rasmussen, Jo Sheldon, and Heather White.
