Because building the church as a community of faith is much more my arena than that of constructing actual buildings, and because our particular church includes a lot of people who do know how to construct actual material things, I’d like to invite you to a gathering on Wednesday, August 15, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., in which we will focus on “Builders of the Bible.” We will read some selected scripture passages and then talk about motivations, operative principles, choice of materials, construction strategies, and ultimate purpose. I expect we will enjoy listening to one another’s perspectives.
The gathering will most likely take place in the sanctuary, since it is the place least impacted by all the interim accommodations being made for the preschool. I would be glad to receive news that you plan to come so that our set-up can best support everyone’s ability to learn and share. Please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 310-377-6771. I look forward to reflecting with you about “Builders of the Bible” and gaining inspiration together for how we can best be builders of today!
