A Book Discussion of The Ninth Hour by Alice McDermott will take place on Monday, June 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the church. This fictional story of a group of nuns carrying out their ministry in Brooklyn, New York, in the early part of the twentieth century, offers opportunity to reflect on God’s nature, God’s call and God’s will, questions of human suffering, and the meaning of death and resurrection. Alice McDermott is a past recipient of the National Book Award. All readers are welcome. April Herron will facilitate.
