Summer is fun and flexible and your camp should be too! At Kid Zone, we invite you and your child to create your OWN camp experience. Choices we provide:
- Flexible Schedules: full day, 3/4 day, 1/2 day, early care and extended care
- Fun-centered , high quality curriculum
- Rotating class schedule
- Summer School pick up at selected locations

Workshops fill up fast and space is limited. If your class if full at the time of registration, we will put you in a class that is open.

What to bring and wear to camp:
- Sunscreen
- Wear close toe shoes
- Lunch (if staying all day) – Please, no food to warm up
- Bathing suit and towel (if staying through lunch)

Kid Zone Summer Camp Class Descriptions
Culinary Kids – learn about and prepare foods unique to the Santa Monica Pier and shores of Sunny Southern California. Kitchen Tool: Safety in the Kitchen.
Sports and Fitness Fun – Keep Movin’ and have fun playing the sports of
The beach; Beach Volleyball, Balance Board Surfing, Frisbee, and so more!
Art – Create Masterpieces inspired by the sea using different mediums and textures. We will make our own Hollywood (Kid Zone) Walk of Fame.
Science – This week we begin building cars to cruise along ROUTE 66 and learn about the science involved in not only making cars run, but also in making them fast!
Performing Arts – Hollywood Week! We begin our dramatic adventure as we learn about how Hollywood has played a key role in Performing Arts over the years and begin to plan for a star studded performance of our very own!
Discover with us as we travel through parts of the beautiful Southwest. Our “travels” will take us through the Grand Canyon, on an adventure in Tombstone, on a ride down the Colorado River, and through the Cactus filled Sonoran Desert.
Culinary Kids – As we prepare and partake of the rustic cooking of the American Southwest, we will learn of the Mexican Cuisine as well as the “Cowboy” way of cooking and eating. (Yeehaw!) Kitchen Tool: The importance of clean hands !
Sports and Fitness Fun – This week we will celebrate the sports of soccer and baseball as well as other fun games and activities that promote healthy movement.
Art – We will discover the beauty of the Southwestern Tapestry as we use watercolors and other mediums to create our own versions of the Grand Canyon and other Southwestern natural wonders.
Science – Get ready to have a lot of fun as we experiment, and form knowledge to predict and explain many of the natural sciences involved with the living desert.
Performing Arts – This week we learn of the many “tall tales” and stories associated with “these here regions” and will re-enact many of them! Campfire stories and songs are sure to be had by all!
Texas – A relatively small stretch of the road but a very BIG part of Route 66 History. Travelers will discover iconic road stops along the way and take in all the Lone Star State that they possibly can!
Culinary Kids – We will be making classic Diner Foods like Burgers, Fries, and Milkshakes! Kitchen Tool: Learn the names of many common kitchen tools and how they’re helpful.
Sports and Fitness Fun – Participate in our very own Kid Zone Rodeo, shoe horse toss, and of course, a Big ‘Ol game of (Flag) Football!
Art – As we discover the pride that Texans hold for their beloved state, we will create the State Flag that is so prominently displayed all over Texas. We will learn how a map is made and how it is followed as we make one of our own for our entire journey. There will always be time for “free art” for our little artists to create whatever their imaginations will allow! The Big Texas Sky is the Limit!
Science – Its all about Rockets this week! Build one of your very own!
Performing Arts – Country Music is a genre that has stood the test of time. We will explore the art of music through several avenues including guest musicians, and opportunities to play a variety of instruments.
The biggest stretch of ROUTE 66 with over 400 miles in the OK state alone! There is much to discover as we stop along many car museums and see how the style and functionality of cars has evolved over the years. We will be creating our own drive in theater and stopping by some of Oklahoma’s coolest and most iconic gas stations along the way.
Culinary Kids – It’s all about the Barbecue and skillet dishes this week! Kitchen Tool: Getting Creative!
Sports and Fitness Fun – We will participate in Baskeball games, and the ever popular “Kin Ball” games…as well as many other fun and interactive activities over the week.
Art – This week we have a guest Artist and book illustrator joining us. Kids will learn about the important role of an illustrator and will get a chance to illustrate a story of their own!
Science – Neon Signs! Neon Signs! Neon Signs!
Performing Arts – It’s all about “Musical Theater” this week…come one and all and share the stage with your friends and counselors as we combine our theatrical performances with music, the spoken dialogue, dance, and acting.
Our travels have brought us to the St. Louis Gateway Arch and a small stretch of Kansas where we will surely have to visit the Kansas Aviation Center and Space Museum. We cannot leave Kansas without studying up on the most famous movie ever made about this state, “The Wizard of Oz!”
Culinary Kids – “There’s no place like home” Kids will re-create their favorite recipes from their home kitchen and will compile a class cookbook for each camper to take home. Kitchen Tool: Cleaning up the Kitchen!
Sports and Fitness Fun – Water Play Week! Participate in a variety of water games and sports as we travel through the Midwest during the hottest time of the year!
Art – This week is all about canvas painting. Get inspired by your favorite scenic views along ROUTE 66 and interpret those onto your very own canvas.
Science – This week is all about things that fly from Hot Air Balloons, to commercial airliners. We will be learning about the first flights to the engineering and technology of today’s aircrafts. We will be putting a lot of what we learn to practice!
Performing Arts – We will be heading down the yellow brick road to The Emerald City and will be sure to watch out for flying monkeys! We will not only watch the iconic Wizard of Oz movie, but we will learn of the history of the very first movie in color and engage in some re-acting of some of our favorite scenes.
As we end our 6 week journey on “Middle Road America” we come to Chicago, Illinois, where we will explore unique people, places and stories. We will dive into the culture of the city and take in all the richness it has to offer as we wind down our iconic trip.
Culinary Kids – We will learn how a Chicago style hot dog is made and prepare them for the whole camp. And of course, we will be making our own Chicago style pizzas! Yum!
Sports and Fitness Fun – Get ready for a busy and active week! Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey Chicago has it all and we will be celebrating and participating in each and every one!
Art – We will be making our own play dough, crayons and paint. We will be using theses to create and design anything and everything our heart desires! Lots of free creative art time this week with a plethora of art supplies to choose from.
Science – We will be studying the architecture of the beautiful Chicago skyscrapers and creating and building high rises of our own using computers and a myriad of materials.
Performing Arts – We will experience the culture of Chicago, Illinois as it is known for its significant advancement of several performing arts, including improvisational comedy, blues, jazz, and soul.
Culinary Kids – This week we will baking, from cookies, to cakes and muffins…we plan to take lots of cute pics with flour all over our faces while producing (and eating) some yummy treats!
