This Sunday we will enjoy the fun and inspiration of having the youth of our church lead us in worship. Youth will serve as speakers, liturgists, actors, ushers, and greeters. Their theme is “Be the Change” and they will bring the story of the good Samaritan (found in Luke 10:30-37) to life. Jesus tells this story about a surprising source of help when he is asked by a lawyer, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” and “Who is my neighbor?” A neighbor, apparently, is either someone who is wounded and in need of help, or someone who extends mercy by taking action to assist a person in distress.
Mindful of the affirmation from Ephesians 2:10, that we are “created in Christ Jesus for good works,” middle school and senior high students will share their best thoughts on how we can, as Gandhi advised, be the change we wish to see in the world.
After 3rd service don’t forget Taco Night, with all you can eat chicken, steak and pork tacos, rice & beans, chips, salsa and something to drink for the low low price of $5/person or $15/family!
Spring has sprung! See you at worship!
